The village offers a local inn with restaurant, the world renowned Ryedale Folk Museum, craft shops and tearooms, all within a short walk. There are fabulous walking and cycling routes, and a short drive away are the market towns of Helmsley, Kirbymoorside, Thirsk and Pickering, where the North York Moors steam railway will take you over the moors to Goathland, home of Heartbeat. Whitby, Scarborough and Flamingoland are all easily accessible and York is only a 45 minute drive away.
